Regional forum strengthens social protection for vulnerable children
VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – Social welfare experts from Laos and other Asean member countries met in Vientiane on Monday to enhance efforts to safeguard vulnerable people across the region.
In his address at the 14th Asean GO-NGO Forum on Social Welfare and Development “Strengthening Social Protection for Vulnerable Children in Asean”, Deputy Director General of the Social Welfare Department, Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Mr Vongkham Phanthanouvong, thanked participants for attending along with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Asean Secretariat and International Council for Social Welfare for providing resources to make the event possible.
