Improving Tenure Security for Smallholder Farmers in Select Areas of Lao PDR [Video]
Global Land Tool Network Initiative introduced the `SALaR project` the Secure Access to Land and Resources funded by the Germany’s Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development with a purpose to uplift rural smallholder farmers by improving land and natural resource conservation through collective land registration, planning and mapping, with attention to customary use aiming to convert customary communal land tenure practices into formal recognition of communal agricultural land rights. This project is implemented by Village Focus International in partnership with The Department of Land of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and its local offices and other partners.
