Vangvieng airfield tourism project needs monitoring

VIENTIANE PROVINCE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – The provincial coordinating committee of Vientiane province has been urged to monitor the development of a tourism complex at the disused airfield in Vangvieng district, a senior district official has said.

The development, valued at more than US$200 million, is aimed at transforming the airfield into a major tourism complex.
