Phongsaly advised to unify efforts in battle against malnutrition

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – Phongsaly health authorities must improve healthcare standards if they are to take action against malnutrition with the long term aim of ending hunger.

This was the advice given by the Director General of the Hygiene and Health Promotion Department under the Ministry of Health, Dr Bounpheng Philavong, at an annual meeting to discuss nutrition and analyse the causes of chronic malnutrition in Phongsaly.
