Laos receives first ever fuel imports from China

A Lao company has imported Euro 5 emission standard diesel from China for the first time, making it a historic occasion for Laos and expanding trade between the two nations.

Over 64 tonnes of diesel were handed over by PetroChina Company to Laos’ Nationwide Trading Petroleum Public Company (NTP) last week during a ceremony held at the importer’s depot in Boten, Luang Namtha province, on the Laos-China border, in the presence of customs authorities.
