Laos aiming to end use of asbestos by 2020
VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – The government is finalising a National Action Plan aiming to eliminate asbestos-related diseases among the population by putting an end to the import and use of the hazardous material across the country by 2020.
Laos, like many other countries in the Asean region, has a history of using the material in both business and residential construction.
