HIV/AIDS risk groups still a healthcare challenge in Laos
VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – Preventing at-risk groups from contracting HIV/AIDS and their treatment are still major challenges for healthcare authorities in the country as the rate of contraction continues to increase.
This was the message from an expert from the Centre for Combating HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Dr Phonesay Rattanavong who noted recently that the rate of HIV/AIDS contraction in Laos has continued to increase with 1,000 new cases reported each year.
