EU allocates aid for Lao flood victims

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – The European Union has announced that it is allocating €200,000 (LAK 1.95 billion) in humanitarian aid to help Lao families affected by the recent tropical storms.

According to a media release posted on the website of the European Union Delegation to the Lao PDR, the funding is made available via the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) through its Small Scale Tool mechanism.
