Revenue from tourism predicted to fall by 2.63 percent in 2019
VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – The government estimates that the revenue earned from foreign visitors will be US$876 million this year, a drop of 2.63 per cent compared to last year.
The government had targeted 5 million tourist arrivals last year and income of US$900 million but the latest estimate shows that only 4.18 million people visited Laos. A report on the final figure has yet to be presented, according to the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism.
