Lao ministry issues nationwide dengue warning

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – The Ministry of Health has advised people throughout the country to clear potential mosquito breeding sites as the current outbreak of dengue fever has claimed 27 lives and more than 11,000 people have contracted the virus so far this year.

The warning comes this week after more cases of dengue fever surfaced. Most of the infections and deaths were recorded in the capital and the southern provinces.
