Floodwater inundates houses, farms in provinces
VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – Several provinces are suffering in the wake of prolonged downpours, with many houses, smallholdings and farms partially submerged under floodwater.
Xekong province in particular has been affected and the level of the Nam Xekong river has risen to 12 metres, just below the danger level of 13 metres, a provincial official, Mr Bounthong Sidonkhong, told Vientiane Times on Tuesday.
