Comply with regulations, satellite receiver dealers warned in Laos

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – Authorities have warned dealers selling satellite receivers for radio and television to observe the relevant regulations after learning that some have imported receivers illegally.

Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Prof. Dr Bosengkham Vongdara, recently issued new guidance setting the conditions that dealers must fulfill.

Several vendors have sold illegally-imported receivers, which violates the relevant laws and regulations in many respects, Director General of the Mass Media Department, Mr Pinpratthana Phanthamaly, told Vientiane Times yesterday.
